| Posted by: deqingli (Paul) | 以忠信為本，不友不主忠信者，如果有友不如己者（過），那也不要後悔或斷交（不重則不威）。以「忠」「信」為本，勿結交不以「忠」「信」為本的人（不如己者）做朋友。可是如果朋友不忠不信（過），那麼也不要悔改（勿憚改），忠在其中、信在其中矣，因爲斷交則無忠信可言了-此吾黨忠信之異於汝黨之忠信也（友為友隱，不能指責朋友無忠信）。
