Posted by: the_duke (Ofer Waldman)	English translation (of the classical chinese): The yellow emperor from long ago, since birth he was god-like, since infancy he could talk, since childhood he was quick-witted, when growing up he was kind-hearted and nimble, and once accomplished he has ascended to heaven.Thus he asked the heavenly teacher: 「I have heard that people in antiquity, Their springs and autumns have reached a hundred years, but their motion never weakened. These days people reach half a century of age, and their motion is all weak. Has the times changed? is the people's control of it lost?」 Qi bo replied: 「People in antiquity knew the Dao. Their law originated from the Yin and Yang, their harmony originated from the methods of renewal, eating and drinking was moderate, awakening and resting was timely, they have not toiled over absurdities, and thus could accompany the spirit with their body, exhaust their lifespan to it's limit, and reach a hundred years before leaving. The people these days are not such, they see wine as juice, and make absurdities part of daily life, they enter the private chambers while intoxicated, they exhaust their essence with desires, and disintegrate their realization with deficiencies. They do not know how to conserve their fullness, and aren't timely at governing the spirit. They rush to fulfill their wills, and oppose the joys of life, and their awakening and resting are not timely. Therefore they are weakened when they reach half a century of age.
