唐王陁為鷹揚府果毅，因病遂斷葷肉，發心誦金剛經，日五遍。後染瘴疾，見群鬼來，陁即急念經。鬼聞便退，遙曰：「王令追汝，且止誦經。」陁即為歇，鬼悉向前，陁乃昏迷欲絕。須臾又見一鬼來云：「念經人，王令權放六月。」既寤，遂一心持誦，晝夜不息。六月雖過，鬼亦不來，夜聞空中有聲呼曰：「汝以持經功德，當壽九十矣。」竟如其言。出《報應記》
