天后時，太常博士吉頊，父哲，易州刺史，以贓坐死。頊于天津橋南，要內史魏王承嗣，拜伏稱死罪。承嗣問之，曰。有二妹堪事大王。承嗣諾之。即以犢車載入。三日不語，承嗣問其故，對曰。父犯國法，憂之，無復聊賴。承嗣既幸免其父極刑。進頊籠馬監，俄遷中丞吏部侍郎。不以才升，二妹請求耳。原闕出處。明鈔本作出朝野僉載
