吳俗畏鬼，每州縣必有城隍神。開元末，宣州司戶卒，引見城隍神。神所居重深，殿宇崇峻。侍衛甲仗嚴肅。司戶既入，府君問其生平行事，司戶自陳無罪，枉見錄。府君曰。然，當令君去。君頗相識否。司戶曰。鄙人賤陋，實未識。府君曰。吾即晉宣城內史桓彝也，為是神管郡耳。司戶既蘇言之。出《紀聞》
