《南史》曰：沙門惠深云：女國在扶桑東千餘里。其人容白端正，色甚潔白，身體存毛，發長委地。至二三月，競入水妊娠，六七月產子。女人胸前無乳，項后生毛根，白毛中有汗似乳。子百日能行，三四年則成人矣。兒見人驚避，偏畏丈夫。食咸草如禽獸。咸草葉似邪蒿，而氣味咸。
