《爾雅》曰：西方有比肩獸，與邛邛、矩虛比焉，其名曰蹶。

2 蹶:
《說苑·復恩》曰：孔子曰：北方有獸，其名曰蹶，前足鼠，後足兔。是獸也，甚矣，其愛蛩蛩、巨虛也。食得甘草，必嚙以遺蛩蛩、巨虛。蛩蛩、巨虛見人剿憒，必負蹶以走。蹶非性心愛蛩蛩、巨虛也，為假足也。二獸者亦非性心愛蹶也，為其得甘草而遺之故也。
