1 仲尼燕居:
子曰：礼者，何也。即事之治也。治国而无礼，譬犹瞽之无相与，伥伥乎其何之，譬如终夜有求幽室之中，非烛，何以见之，若无礼，则手足无所措，耳目无所加，进退揖让无所制，是故以之居处，长幼失其别，闺门三族失其和，朝廷官爵失其序，军旅武功失其制，宫室失其度量，丧纪失其哀，政事失其施，凡衆之动失其宜。
