武侯问曰：兵以何为胜。吴子曰：兵以治为胜，又问不在衆乎。对曰：若法令不明，赏罚不信，金之不止，鼓之不进，虽有百万之师，何益于用，所谓治者居则有礼，动则有威，进不可当，退不可追，前却如节，左右应麾，投之所往，天下莫当，名曰父子之兵也。
