《卷七 如是我聞一》
37  | 王菊莊言，有書生夜泊鄱陽湖，步月納涼。至一酒肆，遇數人各道姓名，云皆鄉里，因沽酒小飲。笑言既洽，相與說鬼，搜異抽新，多出意表。一人曰：「是固皆奇，然莫奇於我所見矣。曩在京師避囂，寓豐臺花匠家，邂逅一士共談。吾言此地花事殊勝，惟墟墓間多鬼可憎。士曰：『鬼亦有雅俗，未可概棄。吾曩遊西山，遇一人論詩，殊多精詣。自誦所作，有曰深山遲見日，古寺早生秋；又曰鐘聲散墟落，燈火見人家；又曰猿聲臨水斷，人語入烟深；又曰林梢明遠水，樓角挂斜陽；又曰苔痕寢病榻，雨氣入昏燈；又曰鵂鶹歲久能人語，魍魎山深每晝行；又曰空江照影芙蓉淚，廢苑尋春蛺蝶魂。皆楚楚有致。方擬問其居停，忽有鈴馱琅琅，欻然滅跡。此鬼寧復可憎耶？』吾愛其脫洒，欲留其飯，其人振衣起曰：『得免君憎，已為大幸，寧敢再入郇廚？』一笑而隱。方知說鬼者即鬼也。」書生因戲曰：「此等奇絕，古所未聞。然陽羨鵝籠，幻中出幻，乃轉輾相生，安知說此鬼者，不又即鬼耶？」數人一時色變，微風颯起，燈光黯然，並化為薄霧輕烟，濛濛四散。 |
