Dao De Jing: |
(The quality of indulgence) The sage has no invariable mind of his own; he makes the mind of the people his mind. To those who are good (to me), I am good; and to those who are not good (to me), I am also good; - and thus (all) get to be good. To those who are sincere (with me), I am sincere; and to those who are not sincere (with me), I am also sincere; - and thus (all) get to be sincere. The sage has in the world an appearance of indecision, and keeps his mind in a state of indifference to all. The people all keep their eyes and ears directed to him, and he deals with them all as his children. |

《老子》曰:圣人处无为之事,行不言之教,万物作而不辞,生而不有,为而不恃,功成而不居。夫惟不居,是以不去。 又曰:不尚贤,使民不争;不贵难得之货,使民不为盗;不见可欲,使心不乱。是以圣人之治,虚其心,实其腹,弱其志,强其骨,常使民无知无欲。使夫知者不敢为也。无为,则无不治也。 又曰:道大、天大、地大,王亦大。域中有四大,而王居其一。 又曰:圣人无常心,以百姓心为心:善者,吾善之;不善者,吾亦善之,得善矣!信者,吾信之;不信者,吾亦信之,得信矣!圣人在,天下歙然。为天下浑其心,百姓皆注其耳目,圣人皆孩之。 又曰:圣人之言云:“我无为,而民自化;我无事,而民自富;我好静,而民自正;我无欲,而民自朴。” 又曰:圣人执左契而不责于人,故有德司契,无德司撤。圣人之心,与百姓心犹左右契耳。契来则和,故上下相亲,怨用不作,后世不能,执左契以应物,而守常辙以轨民,用此来和,必有馀怨矣。 又曰:江海所以能为百谷王者,以其善下之也。是以圣人欲上人也,必以其言下之;欲先人也,必以其身后之。故处上弗害,是以天下乐推而不厌也。 |

《老子》曰:治大国若烹小鲜,烹小鲜不敢桡,恐其縻也。治国烦则乱,治身烦则精神散。以道莅天下者,其鬼不神。以道德治天下,则鬼不敢见其精神以犯人也。 又曰:圣人虚其心,实其腹,弱其志,强其骨,常使民无知无欲,使夫知者不敢为也。为无为,则无不治矣。 又曰:圣人无恒心,以百姓心为心。善者,吾善之;不善者,吾亦善之。信者,吾信之;不信者,吾亦信之。欲善信者,吾因而善信之;不善信者,吾亦以善信教之。圣人在天下惵惵,为天下浑其心,圣人治天下常惵惵,心同恽,用心皆为天下。百姓皆注其耳目,圣人皆孩之。百姓倾注耳目以观听圣人,圣人视百姓如婴儿。 又曰:以政治国,以奇用兵,以无事取天下。以政教治国,以奇计用兵,皆不合道。惟无事可以取天下。吾何以知天下其然哉。以此以此下文知之。天下多忌讳而民弥贫,国多忌讳,人失作业,故贫。人多伎巧,奇物滋起,法令滋章,盗贼多有。法令益明,窃盗为奸,尽成盗贼。故圣人云:“我无为而民自化,我无事而民自富,我好静而民自正,我无欲而民自朴。 |
