1 甘棠:
蔽芾甘棠、勿翦勿伐、召伯所茇。
Gan Tang:
[This] umbrageous sweet pear-tree; -
Clip it not, hew it not down.
Under it the chief of Shao lodged.

2 甘棠:
蔽芾甘棠、勿翦勿败、召伯所憩。
Gan Tang:
[This] umbrageous sweet pear-tree; -
Clip it not, break not a twig of it.
Under it the chief of Shao rested.

3 甘棠:
蔽芾甘棠、勿翦勿拜、召伯所说。
Gan Tang:
[This] umbrageous sweet pear-tree; -
Clip it not, bend not a twig of it.
Under it the chief of Shao halted.
