The Zhu people destroyed Xuju; a son of Xuju fled here because of Chengfeng. Chengfeng spoke to the Duke, saying, "Upholding sacred rites and protecting small and vulnerable states is in accordance with Zhou rituals." "Barbarians disrupting the Central States are a calamity of the Zhou dynasty." "If we restore Xuju, it would honor Dayao and Youji, uphold ancestral rites, and relieve calamity."
