太常博士，职官名。始置于西汉初年，为太常寺属官，官秩为六百石。汉初武帝采用公孙弘建议，设五经博士，《易》、《书》、《诗》、《礼》、《春秋》每经置一博士，故称五经博士，为太常寺属官，又称太常博士。《史记·循吏列传》中有「公仪休者，鲁国博士也，以高等为鲁相。」太常博士的职务是教弟子五经，兼掌选试之官。魏晋之后，太常博士为精于礼仪之人，其他还有术医博士、医药博士。唐代，地位降低，从七品上。清代时，太常博士用于缮写文牍，正七品。
