Biography
He ranked eighth in the Zhejiang provincial examination. In 1481, during the seventeenth year of the Chenghua era, he passed the metropolitan examination as the 210th candidate and was granted the title of Jinshi (advanced scholar) in the third class, ranking 160th. He served as the magistrate of Fenyi County and was later summoned to serve as a censor. He eventually rose to the position of Deputy Inspector of Sichuan Province.
Family
His great-grandfather was Mò Wéiyī; his grandfather was Mò Rúdé; his father was Mò Zhāng, and his mother was Sòng Shì. He belonged to the Jùqìng lineage.
