《資治通鑑前編》，宋末元初金履祥編著，共十八卷，另有《舉要》三卷，上起唐堯，下接《資治通鑑》（周威烈王二十二年丁丑（前404年），前403年三家分晉）。因為金履祥不滿北宋劉恕《通鑑外紀》，認為它常舍《左傳》而取《國語》，又多取先秦諸子書的史料，失之于濫，且未加考証，所以作資治通鑑前編。後人以《舉要》為綱，改成綱目體形式，與《資治通鑑》形成一體。
