Xianqing is the second era name of Emperor Gaozong of Tang, Li Zhi. The Tang dynasty used this era name for a total of more than 5 years.To avoid using the taboo character in the name of Emperor Zhongzong of Tang, whose given name was Li Xian, the Tang people often referred to the Xianqing era as Mingqing or sometimes as Guangqing.
