王亶望（？ - 1781年），山西临汾人。江苏巡抚王师之子。早年为举人。因捐资获得知县职务，授官云南武定知府。乾隆三十九年，转任甘肃布政使。乾隆四十二年，升为浙江巡抚，因上报旱灾有功，擢升为陕甘总督。乾隆四十六年（1781年），大学士阿桂赴浙江勘察海塘工程时，弹劾杭嘉湖道王燧和嘉兴知府陈虞盛贪浮，牵连到王亶望。阿桂前往甘肃镇压河州回民苏四十三之乱时发现天下大雨，并无旱象。乾隆帝派侍郎杨魁到浙江会同巡抚陈辉祖严审王亶望。乾隆四十六年王亶望被斩，下令勒尔谨自裁，王廷赞处以绞刑，没收亶望财产折合白银300万两，史称甘肃冒赈案。
