王世積，闡熙新囶人，王雅之子。後周時功拜上開府儀同三司，開皇九年（589年），隨楊廣滅陳，王世積軍由蘄春（今湖北蘄春北）攻蘄口（今蘄春西南），大敗陳將紀填，陳國人民大量向隋軍投降，以功進位上開府，賜奴婢六十口。入隋後任涼州總管，官拜上柱國，日後王世積從此嗜酒如命，不參與政事。開皇十八年，親信皇甫孝諧犯罪，逃到王世積處，世積拒絕收留他。皇甫孝諧被發配桂州，臨行前檢舉王世積陰謀叛變，帝下令斬殺王世積。
