Uijong of Goryeo (23 May 1127 – 7 November 1173) (r. 1146–1170) was the 18th monarch of the Goryeo dynasty of Korea. He honored his advisors with many ceremonies but hated the warriors, often forcing them to participate in martial arts competitions for the entertainment of himself and the civil officials, as well as assigning them petty portions during land distributions. He also was often drunk, further angering the warriors. Finally, in the autumn of 1170, after constant discriminations, the rage of the military officials burst. 1173年八月，文臣金甫當發動叛亂，派張純錫、柳寅俊前往毅宗流放地巨濟縣，圖謀迎立毅宗復位。鄭仲夫、李義方得知此事後，派李義旼、樸存威帶兵前往阻止，將張純錫、柳寅俊等人全部劫殺於雞林，劫持了毅宗，並在坤元寺北淵逼毅宗飲毒酒而死，棄其屍體於淵中。前副戶長弼仁等人秘密收葬了毅宗的屍體。後改葬於禧陵。
