蔡仲熊(5世紀 - 6世紀),南朝齊學者。濟陽人。

蔡仲熊禮學博聞,曾對人說:「凡鐘律在南,不容複得調平。昔五音金石,本在中土;今既來南,土氣偏陂,音律乖爽。」劉瓛也以為然。

齊武帝永明初年,蔡仲熊兼太常丞。二年(484年),奏議:「《鄭志》雲『正月上辛,祀后稷于南郊,還于明堂,以文王配。』故宋氏創立明堂,郊還即祭,是用《鄭志》之說也。蓋為《志》者失,非玄意也。玄之言曰:『未審周明堂以何月,于《月令》則以季秋。』案玄注《月令》『季秋大饗帝』雲『大饗,遍祭五帝』。又雲『大饗于明堂,以文武配』。其時秋也,去啟蟄遠矣。又《周禮·大司樂》『凡大祭祀,宿縣』。尋宿縣之旨,以日出行事故也;若日暗而後行事,則無假預縣。果日出行事,何得方俟郊還?東京《禮儀志》不記祭之時日,而《志》云:『天郊夕牲之夜,夜漏未盡八刻進熟;明堂夕牲之夜,夜漏未盡七刻進熟。』尋明堂之在郊前一刻,而進獻奏樂,方待郊還。魏高堂隆表『九日南郊,十日北郊,十一日明堂,十二日宗廟』。案隆此言,是審于時定製,是則《周禮》、二漢及魏,皆不共日矣。《禮》以辛郊,《書》以丁祀,辛丁皆合,宜臨時詳擇。」

當年,武帝弟始興王蕭鑒被任為益州刺史,他好學,善作文,不重奢華,器服清素,有高士之風,蔡仲熊時任他的記室參軍,蕭鑒與他登張儀樓,商略先言往行及蜀土人物,蕭鑒言辭和辯,蔡仲熊應對無滯,當時以為盛事。

齊明帝時,皇太子蕭寶卷不愛學習,只愛遊玩,朝議令蔡仲熊為他講禮,還未講到一半,皇侄始安王蕭遙光從容說:「文義之事是士大夫作為伎藝要求官的罷了,皇太子用講嗎?」明帝以為然,于是停講。

蔡仲熊歷任安西記室、尚書左丞。曾問僧人釋寶志自己能官至何職,釋寶志不答,解開杖頭左索繩擲給他,大家都不理解。等蔡仲熊官至尚書左丞,方知此言應驗。他執經議論,往往與當朝宰輔不合,也不肯改變想法求同,故一生仕途不順,當時人為他遺憾。蕭寶卷永元年間,五禮志散落,權且由蔡仲熊和驍騎將軍何佟之共掌其事。
