Ruo'ao (若敖, died 764 BC) was from 790 to 764 BC the monarch of the state of Chu during the Western Zhou Dynasty of ancient China. Born Xiong Yi (熊儀), he was the first Chu ruler to be given a posthumous title.

Like other early Chu rulers, Ruo'ao held the hereditary noble rank of viscount that was first granted to his ancestor, also named Xiong Yi (熊繹, different in Chinese characters), by King Cheng of Zhou.

Ruo'ao succeeded his father Xiong E, who died in 791 BC. He reigned for 27 years and was succeeded by his son Xiao'ao.

若敖（？ - 前764年），羋姓，熊氏，名儀，熊咢之子。周平王七年（前764年）熊儀卒，被尊為「若敖」，這是楚君有謚號的開始。若敖二十年時周幽王被犬戎所殺，周東遷。秦襄公開始位列諸侯。若敖的兒子熊坎立，是為霄敖。以及兒子鬬伯比、鬬廉。
