When the parties upon whom a man leans are proper persons to be intimate with, he can make them his guides and masters.

There are no fortified cities, no edifices, no ancestral temples, no ceremonies of sacrifice; there are no princes requiring presents and entertainments; there is no system of officers with their various subordinates. On these accounts a tax of one-twentieth of the produce is sufficient there.

The ruler of a state mourned for the son of Heaven for the three years. His wife observed the rule of a lady of her husband's house who had gone to her own married home in mourning for the ruler.
孝經·喪親》:為之廟,以鬼享之。
They prepare the ancestral temple (to receive the tablet of the departed), and there they present offerings to the disembodied spirit.
揚子法言》:文、宣、靈,興鄜、密、上、下,用事四帝,而天王不匡,反致文、武胙。
Dukes Wen, Xuan and Ling built temples at Fu, Mi, Shang and Xia to sacrifice to the Four Deities. The Son of Heaven did not rectify this, and to the contrary, wrongly made offerings to King Wen and King Wu.
墨子·所染》:此六君者所染不當,故國家殘亡,身為刑戮,廟破滅,絕無後類,君臣離散,民人流亡。
Now, these six princes had been under bad influences. Therefore their states were ruined and they were executed, their ancestral temples were destroyed and descendants annihilated. The rulers and the subjects were dispersed and the people were left homeless.
莊子·德充符》:審乎無假,而不與物遷,命物之化,而守其也。
His judgment is fixed regarding that in which there is no element of falsehood; and, while other things change, he changes not. The transformations of things are to him the developments prescribed for them, and he keeps fast hold of the author of them.
