Kangxi:《康熙字典·邑部·十》鄕：《广韵》许良切《集韵》《韵会》《正韵》虚良切，𠀤音香。《释名》鄕，向也，衆所向也。《广韵》万二千五百家爲鄕。《前汉·食货志》五家爲邻，五邻爲里，四里爲族，五族爲党，五党爲州，五州爲鄕，是万二千五百戸也。又上声。《韵会》《正韵》𠀤许两切，与响同。《前汉·董仲舒传》如影鄕之应形声。又《字汇补》与飨通。《前汉·文帝纪》尃鄕独美其福。又去声。《集韵》《正韵》𠀤许亮切。与向同。《礼·曲礼》则必鄕长者所视。《又》请席何鄕。又《尔雅·释宫》两阶闲谓之鄕。《注》人君南鄕当阶闲。又窻牖名。《礼·明堂位》刮楹达鄕。《疏》每室四戸八窻，窻戸皆相对。又《仪礼·士虞礼》祝从啓牖鄕如初。《注》鄕，牖一名也。《疏》北牖名鄕，鄕亦是牖，故云一名也。又《正字通》昔也，曩也。往者在前，来者从后，故往者谓之鄕者，往日谓之鄕日。《论语》鄕也，吾见于夫子而问知。又姓。《集韵》通作向。
