qīn ㄑㄧㄣ (2.1): 愛，寵愛。 Love, favour.
《孟子·梁惠王下》:君行仁政，斯民親其上、死其長矣。
If you will put in practice a benevolent government, this people will love you and all above them, and will die for their officers.
《韓非子》:薄子曰：「疑之母親疑，以疑為能相萬乘所不窕也。」
《淮南子·道應訓》:成王問政于尹佚曰：「吾何德之行，而民親其上？」
《荀子·議兵》:政脩則民親其上，樂其君，而輕為之死。
《說苑·政理》:成王問政於尹逸曰：「吾何德之行而民親其上？」
