《孟子·萬章上》:湯崩，太丁未立，外丙二年，仲壬四年。
After the demise of Tang, Tai Ding having died before he could be appointed sovereign, Wai Bing reigned two years, and Zhong Ren four.
《史記·殷本紀》:湯崩，太子太丁未立而卒，於是乃立太丁之弟外丙，是為帝外丙
After the demise of Tang his eldest son, Taiding (Great D), died before he could come to the throne; and so Taiding's younger brother Waibing (Outer C), that is Emperor Waibing, came to the throne.
