「食哉惟時！	'The food!--it depends on observing the seasons.
柔遠能邇，	Be kind to the distant, and cultivate the ability of the near.
惇德允元，	Give honour to the virtuous, and your confidence to the good,
而難任人，	while you discountenance the artful
蠻夷率服。」	- so shall the barbarous tribes lead on one another to make their submission.'
