何谓道？	What is it that we call the Dao?
有天道，有人道。	There is the Dao, or Way of Heaven; and there is the Dao, or Way of Man.
无为而尊者，	Doing nothing and yet attracting all honour
天道也；	is the Way of Heaven;
有为而累者，	Doing and being embarrassed thereby
人道也。	is the Way of Man.
主者，天道也；	It is the Way of Heaven that plays the part of the Lord;
臣者，人道也。	it is the Way of Man that plays the part of the Servant.
天道之与人道也，	The Way of Heaven and the Way of Man
相去远矣，	are far apart.
不可不察也。	They should be clearly distinguished from each other.
