世无得道之效，There are no instances of any one having obtained Dao,
而有有寿之人。 but there have been very long-lived persons.
世见长寿之人， People remarking that those persons,
学道为仙， while studying Dao and the art of immortality,
逾百不死， become over a hundred years old without dying,
共谓之仙矣。 call them immortals,
何以明之？ as the following example will show.
