此又虚也。That is another mistake.
夫人之生也，禀食饮之性，Eating; and drinking; are natural impulses, with which we are endowed at birth.
故形上有口齿， Hence the upper part of the body has a mouth and teeth,
形下有孔窍。 the inferior part orifices.
口齿以噍食， With the mouth and teeth one chews and eats,
孔窍以注泻。 the orifices are for the discharge.
顺此性者， Keeping in accord with one's nature,
为得天正道； one follows the law of heaven,
逆此性者， going against it,
为违所禀受。 one violates one's natural propensities,
失本气于天， and neglects one's natural spirit before heaven.
何能得久寿？ How can one obtain long life in this way?
