凡遗人弓者：In every case of giving a bow to another,
张弓尚筋，if it be bent, the (string of) sinew should be kept upwards;
弛弓尚角。but if unbent, the horn.
右手执箫， (The giver) should with his right hand grasp the end of the bow,
左手承弣。 and keep his left under the middle of the back.
尊卑垂帨。The (parties, without regard to their rank as) high and low, (bow to each other) till the napkins (at their girdles) hang down (to the ground).
若主人拜， If the host (wish to) bow (still lower),
则客还辟，辟拜。 the other moves on one side to avoid the salutation.
主人自受， The host then takes the bow,
由客之左接下承弣；standing on the left of the other. Putting his hand under that of the visitor, he lays hold of the middle of the back,
乡与客并， having his face in the same direction as the other;
然后受。 and thus he receives (the bow).
