祭王父曰皇祖考，In sacrificing to them, a grandfather is called 'the sovereign grandfather;'
王母曰皇祖妣。a grandmother,' the sovereign grandmother;'
父曰皇考，a father, 'the sovereign father;'
母曰皇妣。a mother, 'the sovereign mother;
夫曰皇辟。a husband, 'the sovereign pattern.'
生曰父、曰母、曰妻，While (they are) alive, the names of father (fu), mother (mu), and wife (qi) are used;
死曰考、曰妣、曰嬪。when they are dead, those of 'the completed one (kao),' 'the corresponding one (bi),' and 'the honoured one (pin).'
壽考曰卒，Death in old age is called 'a finished course (zu);'
短折曰不祿。an early death, 'being unsalaried (bu lu).'
