| Posted by: deqingli (Paul) | "器"是祭祀时用的装饰或摆设。庙里只有两件事，一是神（或事或礼）二是器（礼器或贡品），简单说孔子的意思就是：君子务的应是前者(神、事或礼)，而不是后者(礼器、装饰或手段、途径等)。“君子务礼（神）不务器。”应该是孔子“君子不器”的完整含意。子曰：「赐也，尔爱其羊，我爱其礼。」孔子的意思是「你爱其表（器或物质），我爱其里（礼或精神）。」这也解释孔子对子贡说的另一句「女器也。」（你好器呀）。所以“君子不器”也就是“君子（务礼）不务器”。这个道理对于君子很是简单，对小人则难以理解。所以李零有个非常靠谱的比喻：「器是用来载道的。君子追求的是道，不是器，就像人吃的是饭，不是饭碗。」这样一来（喻于利：即君子务饭不务碗），不但小人能理解了，甚至饭桶们也能明白哪里是关键了。 |
