【本章講形而上之「道」體,而在人生哲學中老子認為「有欲」妨礙認識,則「常有欲」自然不能觀照「道」的邊際。所以這裡應承上文以「無」、「有」為讀。
再則,《莊子·天下篇》說:老聃聞其風而悅之,建之以常無有。「莊子所說的」常無有「就是本章的」常無「、」常有「。
王安石說:」道之本出於無,故常無,所以自觀其妙。道之用常歸於有,故常有,得以自觀其徼。「】
上文字摘自《老子今注今譯》,陳鼓應註釋。
