| Posted by: deqingli (Paul) | 父母之年，不可不知也（慎其終），（知其）健在則喜，（知其）病弱則懼，（知其）亡佚則祭（追遠），最後這句是曾子補充的，並總結為慎終追遠（孔子只說慎終，曾子補以追遠）。祭如在，祭神如神在。子曰：「吾不與祭，如不祭。」祭如現，祭祖如祖現，祭神如神現，不祭如不現。我不與（他們）同祭，猶吾祖、神不與他們同在（現）。離經叛道者之祭，只是流於形式，孔子不與之同祭。可見，孔子（君子）之「追遠」也別于小人（民）之「追遠」。
