| Liu Mao, courtesy name Ziwei, was a subordinate official in the commandery. When the Chimei rebels attacked Taiyuan, Mao carried Governor Sun Fu over the wall and took him out, hiding in an empty hole beneath the western gate of the city. For more than one hundred days, he shouldered grain to provide for Fu as well as his wife and children. Fu recommended Mao for appointment as Yilang. |
