The ruler of Lu met with the ruler of Jin, the Duke of Song, the ruler of Wei, the Duke of Zheng, the Duke of Cao, the ruler of Ju, the ruler of Zhu, the ruler of Teng, the Duke of Xue, the Duke of Qi, and the ruler of Xiao Zhu at Yiyi.

冬，楚子、蔡侯、陳侯、許男伐鄭。公至自會。陳針宜咎出奔楚。叔孫豹如京師。大饑。五穀不升為大饑。一谷不升謂之嗛，二谷不升謂之饑，三谷不升謂之饉，四谷不升謂之康，五穀不升謂之大侵。大侵之禮，君食不兼味，台榭不塗，弛侯，廷道不除，百官布而不制，鬼神禱而不祀，此大侵之禮也。 |
| | In winter, the ruler of Chu, the Duke of Cai, the Duke of Chen, and the Marquis of Xu attacked Zheng. The ruler of Lu returned from the assembly. Chen Zhenyigao fled to Chu. Shusun Bao went to the capital. There was a great famine. A failure of all five grains is called a great famine. Failure of one grain crop is called Qian, failure of two crops is called Ji, failure of three crops is called Xun, failure of four crops is called Kang, and failure of all five crops is called Da Qin. The rites for Da Qin are as follows: the ruler eats without multiple flavors, the terraces and pavilions are not painted or decorated, hunting is suspended, the palace roads are not cleared of weeds, officials wear plain clothes without official insignia, and offerings to ghosts and gods are made in prayer but not through formal sacrifices. This is the rite for Da Qin.
