夏，鄭伯使公子發來聘。叔孫豹、繒世子巫如晉。外不言如而言如，為我事往也。仲孫蔑、衛孫林父會吳於善稻。吳謂善伊，謂稻緩。號從中國，名從主人。 |
| | In summer, Lord Zheng sent Gongzi Fa to pay a visit. Shushun Bao and Zeng Shizi Wu went to Jin. The phrase "went out" is not used but instead the phrase "went to" is used, because they went for our matter. Zhongsun Mie and Wei Sunlinfu met Wu at Shandao. Wu called it Shan Yi, and called Dao Huan. Titles follow the Central States, names follow the master.

秋，大雩。楚殺其大夫公子壬夫。公會晉侯、宋公、陳侯、衛侯、鄭伯、曹伯、莒子、邾子、滕子、薛伯、齊世子光、吳人、繒人於戚。公至自會。 |
| | In autumn, a great sacrifice to pray for rain was held. Chu killed its marquis Gongzi Renfu. The Duke met with the Marquis of Jin, the Duke of Song, the Marquis of Chen, the Marquis of Wei, the Lord of Zheng, the Marquis of Cao, the Zi of Ju, the Zi of Zhu, the Zi of Teng, the Bo of Xue, Qi Shizi Guang, Wu people, and Zeng people at Qi. The Duke returned from the meeting.

冬，戍陳。內辭也。楚公子貞帥師伐陳。公會晉侯、宋公、衛侯、鄭伯、曹伯、莒子、邾子、滕子、薛伯、齊世子光，救陳。 |
| | In winter, troops were stationed in Chen. This is an internal term. Gongzi Zhen of Chu led the army to attack Chen. The Duke met with the Marquis Jin, the Duke Song, the Marquis Wei, the Lord Zheng, the Marquis Cao, the Zi Ju, the Zi Zhu, the Zi Teng, the Bo Xue, and Qi Shizi Guang to rescue Chen.

| | In the twelfth month, the Duke returned from rescuing Chen. It was commendable to rescue Chen. On the Xinwei day, Jisun Xingfu died.
