- If you are the author, editor, or copyright holder of a work which you would like to see included in the site, or which you think could be integrated with the site in a useful way, please send an e-mail to
to discuss this. Particularly welcomed are offers of permission from authors of published translations of early texts to integrate material from their copyrighted translations into the site.
- If you are willing to proofread an electronic text on the site against a printed edition, this would also be extremely helpful. If the text is in the Wiki, please correct it yourself (but please read the instructions first), otherwise please post as detailed as possible a description on the Chinese Text Project discussion board.
- If you have access to a printed concordance not already included in the site (e.g. a volume of the ICS concordance series or the Harvard-Yenching Yinde series), please consider entering concordance data. (This does not require knowledge of classical Chinese, only the ability to recognize identical characters and access to the concordance, e.g. from a university library).
- Helping to build a contents page for a transmitted text makes it easier for people to locate passages in the transmitted text and confirm the accuracy of texts in the database.
- Participating in the discussion forums will also help the site to develop.
- Help write translations of as-yet untranslated texts.

Donate
The Chinese Text Project is being developed as a free resource for use by students, researchers, and all interested parties from around the world, and does not charge anyone for this service. In a world where purchasing power varies vastly by location and individual circumstance, it seems only fair that such resources should be freely available to all. Everyone is welcome to use the site without payment, but voluntary donations from those willing to contribute will be greatly appreciated. Donations will be used to pay server rental costs and purchase hardware essential for data processing. If you would like to make a monetary donation to the site, please click the button below. If you would like your name to appear on the site, please send an e-mail to
mentioning your name and the amount you donated after you have completed the payment process. Many thanks for your support.

Donate surplus computer hardware
If you are based in Boston MA, donations of computer hardware are greatly appreciated. Hardware is needed for offline CPU-intensive calculations that support various features of the site. Even older systems (including anything with a Core2 Duo or newer processor) are very useful. If you are upgrading your computer and have surplus older hardware that you will no longer require, please consider donating it to the Chinese Text Project so that it can be put to good use.
Please understand that donated equipment will eventually be disposed of and cannot be returned.
Feedback
If you are making use of the site as part of your studies or research, you may well have the opportunity to compare passages with printed versions. If you notice any mistakes (or missing characters marked by '●') in the electronic version which you are able to correct, please post a description. Verified corrections are promptly added to the database, allowing everyone to benefit from your vigilence.

Link to us
The more people there are making use of the site, the more feedback there is and the more accurate the data set becomes. So if you've found this site useful, please help us by letting other people know about it. If you have a web site or a blog, you can link to the contents page (https://ctext.org), or to any page on the site, simply using the URL shown in your web browser. Because the site is database-driven, links to particular texts or sections will still work even if the site is reorganised later on. Links from departmental websites and related organisations are also greatly appreciated.
