乾：軟弱無輔，不能自理。意在外野，心懷勞苦，雖憂無殆。 |
| | Qian: Weakness without support cannot manage affairs independently. Intent is directed toward the outer fields, and the heart bears toil and hardship; though worried, there is no danger.

坤：周成之隆，刑措無凶，太宰讚佑，君子作仁。 |
| | Kun: In the prosperity of King Cheng of Zhou, punishments were set aside and no misfortunes arose; the Tai Zai praised and assisted, while gentlemen practiced benevolence.

屯：穴有孤烏，坎生蝦蟆，象出萬里，不可得捕。 |
| | Zhen: A cave holds a lone crow; the Kan gives birth to frogs. The image appears ten thousand li away, and cannot be captured.
|
| | 遯之: |
蒙：俱為天民，雲過吾西，伯氏嫉妬，與我無恩。 |
| | Meng: We are both subjects of Heaven; clouds pass west of me. Bo Shi is jealous and envious, and owes me no kindness.
|
| | 遯之: |
需：三手六目，政多煩惑，皋陶瘖聾，亂不可從。 |
| | Xu: Three hands and six eyes; government affairs are full of confusion. Gao Tao is deaf and mute, and disorder cannot be followed.
|
| | 遯之: |
訟：德積不輕，辭王釣耕，三媒不已，大福來成。 |
| | Song: Virtue accumulated is not slight;辞 Wang fish for farming. Three go-betweens do not cease, and great blessings come to completion.
|
| | 遯之: |
師：堅固相親，曰篤无患，六體不易，執以安全，雨師駕西，濡我轂輪，張伯李季，各坐關門。 |
| | Shi: Firm and solid, they are close; this is called sincerity without misfortune. The six limbs remain unchanged; hold fast to ensure safety. The Rain Master drives westward, moistening my wheel hubs. Zhang Bo and Li Ji each sit at the gate.

| | 遯之: |
比：方內不行，輻摧輪傷，馬楚踶甚，受子閔時。 |
| | Bi: Within the square it does not proceed; spokes break and wheels are damaged. The horse of Chu kicks violently, suffering at the time of Minzi.
|
| | 遯之: |
小畜：畜牝無駒，養雞不雛，群羊三歲，不生兩頭。 |
| | Xiaoxu: To raise a female horse without foals, to keep hens without chicks; a flock of sheep for three years produces no two-headed lamb.
|
| | 遯之: |
履：老耄罷極，無取中直，懸輿致仕，得歸鄉里。 |
| | Lü: The old and feeble have reached their limit; there is nothing to gain from uprightness. The suspended carriage retires, and one returns home to the native village.
|
| | 遯之: |
泰：縮緒亂絲，手與為哭。越畝逐兔，斷其襌襦。 |
| | Tai: Drawn threads in tangled silk—hands are used for weeping. Trampling fields to chase a rabbit, cutting off its single-layered tunic.
|
| | 遯之: |
否：海老水乾，魚鱉盡索，藁落无潤，獨有沙石。 |
| | Pi: The old sea dries up; fish and turtles are all sought after. Straw falls without moisture, leaving only sand and stones.
|
| | 遯之: |
同人：入市求鹿，不見頭足，終日至夜，竟無所得。 |
| | Tongren: Entering the market to seek a deer, one sees neither head nor feet; from morning until night, nothing is obtained.
|
| | 遯之: |
大有：築門壅戶，虎臥當道，驚我驊騮，不利出處。 |
| | Dayou: Building a gate and blocking the door, a tiger lies across the road; it startles my Huailuo horse, making going out or staying unfavorable.
|
| | 遯之: |
謙：陶朱白圭，善賈息資，公子王孫，富貴不貧。 |
| | Qian: Tao Zhu and Bai Gui were skilled merchants who accumulated wealth; marquises, princes, and young nobles remained rich and not poor.
|
| | 遯之: |
豫：王良善御，伯樂知馬，周旋步驟，行中規矩，止息有節，延命壽考。 |
| | Yu: Wang Liang was skilled in driving; Bo Le knew horses. In turning and pacing, he walked according to rules and measures; halting and resting with restraint, thus prolonging life and attaining old age.
|
| | 遯之: |
隨：堯問伊舜，聖德增益，使民不懼，安無悚惕。 |
| | Sui: Yao asked Yi Shun; holy virtue increased, making the people fearless and at peace without alarm.
|
| | 遯之: |
蠱：昭公失常，季氏悖狂，遜齊處鄆，喪其寵身。 |
| | Gu: Zhao Gong lost his usual conduct; Ji Shi became mad with defiance. Xun Qi stayed in Yun, losing his favored position.
|
| | 遯之: |
臨：昏暮不行，候待旦明，從住止後，未得相從。 |
| | Lin: At dusk it does not proceed; waiting until dawn is bright. Following and stopping behind, one has yet to go along with it.
|
| | 遯之: |
觀：安上宜官，一日九遷，升擢超等，牧養常山。 |
| | Guan: Appointed to a suitable official post, promoted nine times in one day; elevated beyond rank, he governs and nurtures Changshan.
|
| | 遯之: |
噬嗑：去惡就凶，東西多訟，行者無功。 |
| | Shike: Removing evil leads to misfortune; much litigation in the east and west—travelers achieve no success.
|
| | 遯之: |
賁：老馬垂耳，不見百里，君子弗恃，商人莫取，無與為市。 |
| | Bi: An old horse droops its ears, unable to see a hundred li; gentlemen do not rely on it, merchants take nothing—there is no one with whom to trade.
|
| | 遯之: |
剝：蝸螺生子，深目黑醜，似類其母，雖或相就，眾人莫取。 |
| | Bo: A snail gives birth, its eyes deep and darkly ugly; resembling its mother, though it may approach others, the crowd takes no interest.
|
| | 遯之: |
復：百足俱行，相輔為強，三聖翼事，王室寵光。 |
| | Fu: A hundred legs walk together, supporting each other to grow strong; three sages assist in affairs, bringing honor and favor to the royal house.
|
| | 遯之: |
无妄：容民畜眾，履德有信，大人受福，童蒙憂惑，利無所得。 |
| | Wuwang: Accommodating the people and nurturing the multitude, practicing virtue with trust—great men receive blessings; the young and unenlightened suffer worry and confusion, gaining no benefit.
|
| | 遯之: |
大畜：左跌右僵，前躓觸桑，其指據石，傷其弟兄，老蚕不作，家無織帛，貴貨賤身，久留連客。 |
| | Dayu: Falling on the left, collapsing on the right; stumbling forward and striking a mulberry tree. His fingers grasp stone, injuring his brothers and sisters. The old silkworm does not spin, so the home has no woven silk—valuable goods but low status, long detained as a guest.
|
| | 遯之: |
頤：昏人宜明，賣食老昌，國祚東表，號稱太公。 |
| | Yi: A blind man should see clearly; selling food to the old and prosperous, the state's mandate extends eastward, bearing the title Tai Gong.
|
| | 遯之: |
大過：敝笱在梁，魴逸不禁，漁父勞苦，藏空乾口。 |
| | Dayue: A broken fish trap on the river weir—fang fish escape unchecked; the old fisherman toils in vain, storing only empty nets.
|
| | 遯之: |
坎：盛中後跌，衰老復掇，盈滿減毀，疾羸肥腯，鄭昭失國，重耳與立。 |
| | Kan: After a period of prosperity comes a fall; old age returns with renewed picking. Fullness diminishes and is destroyed, the sickly grow fat—Zheng Zhao loses his state, while Chong'er takes power.
|
| | 遯之: |
離：折亡破甕，使我困貧，與母生分，別離異門。 |
| | Li: Breaking and losing a jar leaves me in hardship and poverty; separated from my mother, we part ways through different doors.
|
| | 遯之: |
咸：野有積庾，穡人駕取，不逢虎狼，暮歸其宇。 |
| | Xian: In the field there are stored granaries; the reaper drives to take them, encountering no tigers or wolves, returning home at dusk.
|
| | 遯之: |
恆：襁褓孩呱，冠帶成家，出門如賓，父母何憂？ |
| | Heng: A baby in swaddling clothes cries; with a cap and sash he establishes a family. Going out like a guest—what worry do parents have?
|
| | 遯之: |
大壯：陳力就列，官職並廢，手不勝盆，失其寵門。 |
| | Dazhuang: Contributing strength to one's post, official positions are all abolished; hands cannot hold a basin—losing the favored gate.
|
| | 遯之: |
晉：積雪大寒，萬物不生，陰制庶士，時本冬貧。 |
| | Jin: Accumulated snow and great cold, nothing grows; yin controls the common people—this is a time of winter poverty.
|
| | 遯之: |
明夷：龍鬭時門，失理傷賢，內畔生賊，自為心疾。 |
| | Mingyi: Dragons fight at the gate; reason is lost and sages are harmed. Rebels arise within, causing inner sickness of the heart.
|
| | 遯之: |
家人：狗畏猛虎，依人為輔，三夫執戟，伏不敢趨，身安无咎。 |
| | Jia: A dog fears a fierce tiger and relies on people for support; three men hold halberds, crouching in fear without daring to advance—thus the body remains safe from harm.
|
| | 遯之: |
睽：南山高罡，回隤難登，道里遼遠，行者无功。憂不成凶，惡亦消去。 |
| | Kui: The southern mountain is high and steep, difficult to ascend; the road is distant—travelers achieve no success. Worry does not become misfortune, and evil also fades away.
|
| | 遯之: |
蹇：逢時陽遂，富且尊貴。 |
| | Jian: Meeting the right time brings success; one becomes wealthy and noble.
|
| | 遯之: |
解：求我所欲，得其利福，終身不辱，盈盛之門，高屋先覆，君失邦國。 |
| | Jie: Seeking what I desire, I gain profit and blessings; for life without disgrace. The gate of great prosperity—high houses collapse first; the ruler loses his state.
|
| | 遯之: |
損：安坐至暮，禍災不到，利詰奸妖，罪人弗赦。 |
| | Sun: Sitting at ease until dusk, calamity does not come; it is advantageous to interrogate evildoers and witches—criminals are not pardoned.
|
| | 遯之: |
益：膠車駕東，與雨相逢，五楘解墮，頓輈獨宿，憂為身禍。 |
| | Yi: A glue-bound cart heads east, meeting rain along the way; five straps loosen and fall. The carriage halts alone for the night—worry becomes a personal misfortune.
|
| | 遯之: |
夬：擇日高飛，遂至東齊，見孔聖師，使我和諧。 |
| | Guai: Choosing a day to fly high, I reach Dong Qi; meeting Kong the sage teacher, he brings me harmony.
|
| | 遯之: |
姤：陳媯敬仲，兆興齊姜，乃適營丘，八世大昌。 |
| | Gou: Chen Gui Jingzhong—auspicious signs for Qi Jiang's rise; thus he moved to Yingqiu, and after eight generations, great prosperity followed.
|
| | 遯之: |
萃：缺埒无墠，難從東西，毀破我盆，泛棄酒食。 |
| | Cui: The fence is broken, no courtyard—hard to go east or west; my basin is shattered, wine and food cast away.
|
| | 遯之: |
升：中夜狗吠，盜在廬外，神光祐助，消散解去。 |
| | Sheng: In the middle of the night a dog barks; thieves lurk outside the hut. Divine light protects and assists, dispelling them away.
|
| | 遯之: |
困：雷車不藏，隱隱西行，霖雨三旬，流為河江，使國憂凶。 |
| | Kun: The thunder cart does not hide; it rumbles westward. Torrential rain lasts thirty days, flowing into rivers and streams, causing the state to suffer misfortune.
|
| | 遯之: |
井：老河虛空，舊井無魚，利得不饒，避患東鄰，禍入我門，使我悔存。 |
| | Jing: The old river is empty; the ancient well has no fish. Advantage is not abundant—avoid misfortune by fleeing to the eastern neighbor, but disaster enters my gate, causing me regret.
|
| | 遯之: |
革：福德之士，歡悅日喜，夷吾相國，三歸為臣，賞流子孫。 |
| | Ge: A man of virtue and fortune brings daily joy; Yi Wu, the prime minister, returns three times as a subject—rewards flow to descendants.
|
| | 遯之: |
鼎：清人高子，久屯外野，逍遙不歸，思我慈母。 |
| | Ding: The clear man Gaozi has long remained in the outer fields; he roams freely without returning, thinking of his kind mother.
|
| | 遯之: |
震：驄𩦞黑𩭳，東歸高鄉，白虎推輪，蒼龍把衡，朱雀導引，虛烏載遊，逐扣天門，入見真君，馬安人全。 |
| | Zhen: A chestnut horse and a black steed, returning east to the noble homeland. The White Tiger pushes the wheel; the Azure Dragon holds the balance; the Vermilion Bird leads the way; the mythical bird carries them on their journey. They knock at Heaven's gate, entering to see the true sovereign—horse and rider remain safe.

| | Gen: The road is full of thorns; they prick my feet, disadvantageous to travelers, becoming poison for the heart.

| | Jian: Sitting upright brings illness; worry enters the door and makes me uneasy.

歸妺：小陬之市，利不足喜，二世積仁，蒙其祖先，匪躬之言，狂悖為患。 |
| | Guimao: A small market in Xiao Zhou, profit is not worth rejoicing; two generations accumulate benevolence, inheriting from ancestors. Not words for oneself—reckless and defiant, causing misfortune.
|
| | 遯之: |
豐：登高望時，見樂无憂，求利南國，與寶相得。 |
| | Feng: Climbing high to gaze at the time, I see joy without worry; seeking profit in the southern land, meeting treasures.
|
| | 遯之: |
旅：䟽足息肩，有所忌難，金城鐵廓，以銅為關，藩屏自衛，安上無患。 |
| | Lü: Resting tired feet and easing the burden, there are things to fear and difficulties. A city of gold and walls of iron, with bronze as gates; defenses protect themselves—ascending safely without misfortune.
|
| | 遯之: |
巽：江水沱汜，思附君子，伯仲受歸，不我肯顧，姪娣悔恨。 |
| | Xun: The river water spreads in 沱 and Si, longing to attach to a gentleman; Bo Zhong accepts return but does not look back at me—nieces and younger sisters regret and resent.
|
| | 遯之: |
兌：牙蘖生達，陽倡於外，左手執籥，公言錫爵。 |
| | Dui: Sprouts grow strong, yang proclaims outward; the left hand holds a flute, the public words bestow a cup.
|
| | 遯之: |
渙：雲夢苑囿，萬物蕃熾。犀象玳瑁，荊人以富。 |
| | Huan: Yunmeng park and enclosure—ten thousand things flourish and thrive. Rhinoceros, elephant, tortoiseshell—Jing people grow rich from them.
|
| | 遯之: |
節：渠戎萬里，晝夜愁苦，櫜甲戎服，雖荷不賊，鷹鸇之殘，害不能傷。 |
| | Jie: The Qiu Rong territory spans ten thousand li; day and night filled with sorrow. Quivers of armor, though bearing weapons without aggression—like the eagle's beak or hawk's talons, harm cannot strike.
|
| | 遯之: |
中孚：鎡基逢時，稷契皋陶，貞良願得，微子解囚，市空無虎，謾誕妄語。 |
| | Zhongfu: Zi Ji meets the right time; Ji Che and Gao Tao—upright men wish to obtain. Wei Zi frees prisoners, the market is empty without tigers—idle talk and false words.

| | 遯之: |
小過：騎騅與蒼，南賈太行。逢駮猛虎，為所吞殤，葬於渭陽。 |
| | Xiaoguo: Riding a chestnut horse with a blue steed, heading south to trade in Taihang. Meeting a fierce tiger, devoured and perishing young; buried at Weiyang.
|
| | 遯之: |
既濟：出門東行，日利時良，步騎與駟，經歷宗邦，暮宿北燕，與樂相逢。 |
| | Jiji: Going out the gate and heading east, each day brings profit and favorable times. On foot or horseback with a four-horse chariot, passing through ancestral states; at dusk staying in Beiyan, meeting joy along the way.

| | 遯之: |
未濟：酒為歡伯，除憂來樂，福善入門，與君相索，使我有得。 |
| | Weiji: Wine is the companion of joy; it removes sorrow and brings happiness. Blessings and virtue enter the gate, seeking me out with you—thus I gain something.
