家人：乾剛俱變文明，內外相應。陰陽得位，居中履正。火上見風，《家人》之象。閑邪存誠，嗃嗃得中，互體見文明，家道明也。內平遇《坎》險象，《家人》難也，酌中之義在於六二，與《離》為飛伏。建始癸卯至戊申，積筭起戊申至丁未，金土入《離》《巽》，大夫居世，應九五立君位，五星從位起太陰，箕宿從位降己丑，分氣候，其數三十六。火木分形，陰陽得位，內外相資，二氣相合。君君臣臣，父父子子，兄兄弟弟。《易》曰：「《家人》嗃嗃，父子嘻嘻。」治家之道分於此也。吉凶之義，配五行進退，文明運動，變化之象。九三、適陰入《震》，風為雷合曰《益》，次降風雷《益》卦。 |
| | Family: Qian Gang Ju Bian Wenming, Nei Wai Xiang Ying. Yin Yang De Wei, Ju Zhong Lü Zheng. Fire above and wind below—this is the image of "Family." Avoiding evil and preserving sincerity, firmness in the middle, mutual embodiment revealing civilization—this signifies clarity within the family. Internally balanced yet encountering the dangerous image of Kan, this is the difficulty in "Family." The meaning of measured moderation lies with Liu Er, and it corresponds to Li as flying and hidden. From the Gaimao day of Jian Shi to the Wushen day, accumulated calculations begin from Wushen to Dingwei. Metal and earth enter Li and Xun; a high official resides in this era, corresponding to Jiuling establishing the sovereign's position. The five stars follow their positions starting with Taiyin; Jisu follows its position descending on Yichou. Dividing the climate, the number is thirty-six. Fire and wood differentiate in form; Yin Yang attain their positions; internal and external support each other; two energies harmonize together. Ruler as ruler, minister as minister; father as father, son as son; elder brother as elder brother, younger brother as younger brother. The Yijing says: "In 'Family,' firmness and restraint—father and son in joyous harmony." The way of governing a family is differentiated here. The meaning of auspiciousness and misfortune corresponds to the advances and retreats of the Five Elements; the movement of civilization reveals an image of transformation. Jiu San: appropriately Yin enters Zhen, wind and thunder combine as Yi; the next descending Wind-Thunder Yi hexagram.
