The two energies of Yin and Yang interact to reveal their fundamental forms; fire resides above the mountain, which represents the meaning of "Lü." The Yijing says: "A traveler first laughs and then weeps bitterly." It also says: "He obtains his tools for survival." Zhongni was a traveler, which is clearly known! It corresponds to Feifu with Gen. Its position at Chu Liu Yuan Shi, and Jiusi, the feudal lords appear in response. From Jiayou to Jiayin of Jiansi, the accumulated calculation begins from Jiayin to Guichou, and the cycle repeats itself. Metal entering upon wood represents Li and Gen. The Five Planets begin from Yinghuo in their positions; the Bi constellation descends to Bingchen in its position, dividing the climate into thirty-six parts. Fire and Earth share the same palace; the two energies harmonize in response. Yin and Yang are opposite to each other, auspiciousness and misfortune are determined by the Yin position. At Shang Jiu, Yang resides in the ancestral temple, gain and loss occur according to the Yijing. Liuwu is the master of the hexagram, not confined to one aspect. Misfortune is appropriate; the inner image changes appropriately, moving from Yin into Yang. Xun follows things in a yielding manner, advancing and retreating with intent and vessel. The outer image clearly responds inwardly as Ding; descending fire follows wind to enter Ding.
