| 1 | 公儀: | 魯人有公儀休者，砥節勵行，樂道好古，恬於榮利，不事諸侯。子思與之友。穆公因子思，欲以為相。謂子思曰：「公儀子必輔寡人，參分魯國而與之一。子其言之。」子思對曰：「如君之言，則公儀子愈所以不至也。君若飢渴待賢，納用其謀，雖蔬食水飲，伋亦願在下風。今徒以高官厚祿鉤餌君子，無信用之意。公儀子之智若魚鳥，可也。不然，則彼將終身不躡乎君之庭矣。且臣不佞，又不任為君操竿下釣，以傷守節之士也。」 |
