毛女者,字玉姜,在華陰山中,獵師世世見之。形體生毛,自言秦始皇宮人也,秦壞,流亡入山避難,遇道士谷春,教食松葉,遂不饑寒,身輕如飛,百七十餘年。所居岩中有鼓琴聲云。 |
| | Mao Nu, courtesy name Yujiang, lived in Huayin Mountain; generations of hunters have seen her there. Her body was covered with hair. She claimed to be a palace woman of the First Emperor of Qin; after the fall of Qin, she fled into the mountains for refuge and encountered a Daoist priest named Gu Chun, who taught her to eat pine leaves. As a result, she never suffered from hunger or cold, and her body became light as if able to fly. She lived more than 170 years. It was said that there were sounds of drumming and zither music coming from the rock where she dwelled.

婉孌玉姜,與時遁逸。真人授方,餐松秀實。因敗獲成,延命深吉。得意岩岫,寄歡琴瑟。 |
| | Wanluan Yujiang, withdrew from the world in her time. A true person (immortal) taught her methods; she consumed the tender and ripe pine leaves. Because of failure, she achieved success; thus prolonging life with great auspiciousness. She found joy in the rock and hills, entrusting her happiness to zithers and drums.
