| 24 | 非韩: | 人之释沟渠也，知者必溺身；不塞沟渠而缮船楫者，知水之性不可阏，其势必溺人也。臣子之性欲奸君父，犹水之性溺人也，不教所以防奸，而非其不闻知，是犹不备水之具，而徒欲早知水之溺人也。溺于水，不责水而咎己者，己失防备也。然则人君劫于臣，己失法也。备溺不阏水源，防劫不求臣奸，韩子所宜用教己也。水之性胜火，如裹之以釜，水煎而不得胜，必矣。夫君犹火也，臣犹水也，法度、釜也，火不求水之奸，君亦不宜求臣之罪也。 |
