| 8 | 魯問: | 魯君之嬖人死，魯君為之誄，魯人因說而用之。蘇云：「第二句『君』字，當作『人』，第三句『人』字，當作『君』，傳寫誤也。」子墨子聞之曰：「誄者，道死人之志也，《釋名釋典蓺》云「誄，累也，累列其事而稱之也」。今因說而用之，是猶以來首從服也。」來首，疑即貍首，《史記·封禪書》云「萇弘設射貍首。」貍首者，諸侯之不來者。大射儀鄭注說貍首云「貍之言不來也。」《廣雅釋獸》云「豾，貍也。不來，即豾貍」。《方言》云「貔，陳、楚、江、淮之閒謂之𧳟，關西謂之貍」。來、𧳟字亦同。蓋貍與來古音相近，故貍首亦謂之來首。服，謂服馬，以來首從服，言以貍駕車，明其不勝任也。 |
