后魏末，齐州释志湛者，住太山北邃谷中衔草寺。省事少言，人鸟不乱，恒诵法华。将终时，神僧宝志谓梁武帝曰：“北方衔草寺须陁洹圣僧，今日灭度。”湛之亡也。无恼而化。两手各舒一指，有梵僧云：“斯初果人也。”还葬山中。后发看之，唯舌如故。衆为立塔表焉。出《法苑珠林》
