垂拱元年，吳道古等二十七人及第。牓後敕批云：略觀其策，並未盡善。若依令式，及第者惟止一人。意欲廣收，通滯並許及第。後至調露二年。考功員外劉恩唐《摭言》一恩作思。立奏。議加試帖經與雜文，文高者放入策。尋以則天革命，事復因循。至神龍二年，方行三場試。故恒列詩賦題目於牓中矣。出《摭言》
