按大篆者，周宣王太史史籀所作也。或云，柱下史始变古文，或同或异，谓之篆。篆者传也，传其物理，施之无穷。甄酆定六书，三曰篆书。八体书法，一曰大篆。又汉书艺文志。《史籀》十五篇，并此也。以此官制之，用以教授，谓之史书，凡九千字。出《书断》
