隋炀帝大业三年初造羽仪。毛氅多出江南，为之略尽。时湖州乌程县人身被科毛，入山捕采，见一大树高百尺，其上有鹤巢养子。人欲取之，其下无柯，高不可上，因操斧伐树。鹤知人必取，恐其杀子，遂以口拔其毛放下，人收得之，皆合时用，乃不伐树。出《五行记》
